How Hayle Foodbank Works

* Hayle foodbank operates on a Saturday morning from Hayle
Methodist Church and gives out food / toiletries etc. that the
residents / businesses of Hayle have donated to help people
who need short term support.
* Each food parcel contains enough basic supplies to help
towards feeding a household for up to two weeks. We do have
limited pet food / baby stuff.
* You can self-refer yourself to get up to 3 parcels in any 12
months or get a referral from someone like a GP, health visitor,
social worker, school etc. to get up to 6 parcels in any 12
months.
* We may be able to help out towards vet bills or if you are
struggling with gas / electricity and are below £10 of energy
meter credit by referring you to support organisations.

* To make a referral email haylefoodbank@gmail.com or text /
ring 07713 171495 and someone will get back to you to take
more details.
* Once you have been referred you can order a food parcel by
emailing haylefoodbank@gmail.com or text / ring 07713
171495 before 12pm on a Friday saying what stuff you need
and then either collect it from Hayle Methodist Church on a
Saturday morning 10-30 to 12pm (this would really help us )or
have it delivered on a Saturday am.
* Citizens Advice run sessions at Hayle Library every 1 st and 3 rd
Wednesday mornings and this is highly recommended if you
need advice on benefits / debt / housing / bills etc. Make an
appointment by dropping into Library, ringing 0300-1234-111
(ask for Hayle Library),

* There are also “help yourself” food cupboards outside Phillack
Church Hall near Home Bargains, Foundry near Post Office.

How you can help Hayle Foodbank
Any in date non-perishable foods (such as cans,
packets, long life milk, squash pet food etc.) and
toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste etc.
)can be dropped off at the following collection
points.
Hayle Methodist Church – Saturday mornings only
9-30 to 12pm.
ASDA – collection trolley behind checkouts -
opening hours.
Copperhouse Pharmacy (opposite Post Office) –
opening hours.
WJ Winn, Funeral Directors, (Copperhouse near
the Mad Hatter Café) – opening hours
